Super Thinking

Webhooks are an integral part of any modern e-commerce operation. They serve as a vital communication link between your platform and payment provider, ensuring that you receive real-time updates on payment transactions and refunds. Whether you're using WooCommerce, Shopify, or manually configuring your webhook endpoints, we've got you covered!

What Are Webhooks, and Why Are They Essential?

Webhooks are a way for your e-commerce store to receive notifications about events that are happening in real-time. In our case, they play a pivotal role in providing you with updates on payment transactions and refunds. These updates are essential for you to make informed decisions and keep your business running smoothly.

With Webhook Endpoint Insights, you can now have complete visibility into this critical communication channel right from your Super Merchant Portal.

Our new Webhook Endpoint Insights feature provides you with a comprehensive view of your webhook endpoints, the requests made to these endpoints, and the responses you receive. Here's what you can expect:

  1. Detailed Request and Response Tracking: You can now access detailed information about each request made to your webhook endpoints and the corresponding responses. This level of insight allows you to monitor the success or failure of these requests and take appropriate actions.

  2. Debugging Made Easy: In the event of a failure, we provide response headers and body information right at your fingertips. This feature makes debugging a breeze for both you and your developers, ensuring that issues are resolved swiftly.

  3. Retry Attempts: If a webhook request fails, we'll automatically attempt to resend it until it succeeds or reaches a maximum number of attempts. All retry attempts will be clearly visible in your Super Merchant Portal, so you have a complete history of each request's journey.

  4. Data Retention: Webhook requests and their responses will be stored in your Super Merchant Portal for up to seven days from the original delivery attempt. This allows you to review historical data and trends.

Common Issues Addressed

Webhook Endpoint Insights also helps you identify and address common issues that can occur when sending requests to your endpoint. These issues include:

  • Request Timing: If your site responds slowly, requests may time out. With our insights, you'll know when this happens and can take action.

  • SSL Issues: Misconfigured SSL certificates can lead to problems with webhook communication. Our detailed tracking helps you pinpoint SSL-related issues.

  • Webhook Secret Configuration: Correctly configuring your webhook secret or confirmation ID is crucial. We provide you with all the information you need to ensure proper configuration.

  • Firewall Blockages: If your site is behind a firewall or a tool like Cloudflare that's blocking requests, our dashboard will show you the relevant data.

Stay in Control with Webhook Endpoint Insights

At Super, we're dedicated to empowering our merchants with the tools they need to thrive in the e-commerce world. Webhook Endpoint Insights is just another example of our commitment to your success.

With this feature, you can monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize your webhook communication effortlessly. Log in to your Super Merchant Portal today and experience the power of Webhook Endpoint Insights for yourself. Your success is our success, and we're here to support you every step of the way.
